What we are looking for:We are seeking an energetic, practical and motivated individual to either commence their career in Plumbing or take on a new challenge.
This opportunity offers a structured four-year apprenticeship combining practical, on-the-job experience with formal study toward a Certificate III in Plumbing.
This apprenticeship offers the chance to earn while you learn and gain practical experience working alongside skilled tradespeople.
As an Apprentice Plumber/Drainer, you will undertake a range of field-based activities combined with studies to acquire trade qualifications, with objective of acquiring the skills and knowledge to support the installation, maintenance and repair of Council's water infrastructure.
You'll be part of a supportive team that values safety, learning and delivering quality services to the Fraser Coast community.What your day will look like:Assist with the installation, maintenance and repair of water infrastructure assetsLearn practical plumbing skills through on-the-job training and formal studyPerform labouring and construction activities in outdoor work environmentsComplete job records, timesheets and workplace documentationFollow safe work practices and contribute to a positive safety cultureWork collaboratively with supervisors,



tradespeople and team membersWhat you'll need for success:Current Queensland C Class or CA driver's licence (provisional or open)General Construction Induction Card (White Card)Ability to undertake physically demanding outdoor workAbility to follow instructions and work safely within a team environmentBasic literacy and numeracy skillsModerate computer skills and ability to use digital systemsWillingness to learn and commit to completing a plumbing apprenticeshipWhat's nice to have:Completion of Year 10 or higherPrevious experience in labouring, construction, maintenance or a trade environmentDemonstrated interest in plumbing, infrastructure or hands-on workWe understand that not all candidates will meet every selection criterion.
