Male Support Worker Orange, NSWLocation: Orange, NSWSchedule: Monday to Friday, 3 hours per dayPreferred Staff: Male Support WorkerAbout the RoleWe are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Male Support Worker to provide high-quality support to a participant in Orange, NSW.The participant lives with schizophrenia and requires a support worker who is confident working with individuals with psychosocial disabilities and can provide calm, respectful, and consistent support.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide person-centred support tailored to the participants needs and goals.Support the participant with daily activities and community participation.Build a positive and qualified working relationship with the participant.Recognise early signs of escalation and respond appropriately.Follow behavioural support and risk management strategies.Maintain a safe and supportive environment.Complete required documentation and report any concerns appropriately.About YouThe ideal candidate will have:Previous experience supporting people with psychosocial disabilities or complex support needs.Experience supporting participants with mental health conditions.The ability to recognise and appropriately respond to escalation.A good understanding of risk management and behavioural support practices.Confidence working with participants who have a known history of substance use.Excellent communication, patience, and emotional awareness.A calm, reliable, and non-judgmental approach.Relevant qualifications and NDIS-related clearances.If you are an experienced Support Worker who is passionate about making a positive difference, we would love to hear from you.Location: Orange, NSWHours: Monday to Friday, 3 hours per day
