HR Transformation Business Analyst

- Long-term contract to 30 June 2028
- Canberra based, onsite 5 days per week
- NV1 security clearance required
- Immediate start

About the agency
This large Federal Government agency is responsible for defending Australia and its national interests, promoting security and stability, and supporting the Australian community as directed by the Government.

About the role
The agency is in the early stages of a major HR transformation, moving from legacy HR systems to a new ERP platform. This multi-year program will modernise people systems and processes across the organisation.
As a Business Analyst, you will join the program team to analyse business processes, document requirements, assess impacts, support solution design and engage stakeholders across multiple transformation projects.

Duties

- Gather and document business, functional and legislative requirements for HR transformation projects
- Map current and future-state business processes and develop future-state operating models
- Perform functional analysis, fit-gap assessments and impact assessments to support HR system transformation
- Facilitate workshops, consultations and governance activities across business areas and build strong stakeholder relationships
- Produce reporting, data quality assessments,



dashboards and briefing material to support project outcomes

Skills and experience

- 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst on ERP or HR system transformation programs
- Experience with SAP HR modules (SAP HCM, SuccessFactors or S/4HANA highly regarded)
- Experience delivering ERP transformation in large Federal Government agencies
- Solid requirements elicitation, traceability and validation skills
- Current and future-state process modelling and operating model design
- Fit-gap, solution evaluation and business impact assessment
- Ability to analyse legislation, policy and business rules and translate them into requirements
- Data quality analysis, reporting and dashboard development

Requirements

- Must hold a current NV1 security clearance
- Must be Canberra based and able to work onsite 5 days per week
