About the role

Happy Hearts Childcare and Kindergarten Warner is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. This is a full-time position based in Warner, QLD 4500. As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing and educating young children during their crucial formative years, creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment that fosters their developmental growth. This position is integral to our mission of providing high-quality early childhood education and care that supports the wellbeing, learning and development of every child in our care.

Key responsibilities

- Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities and experiences that promote cognitive, physical, social and emotional development

- Create and maintain a safe, welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and discovery

- Observe and assess children's progress and development, documenting milestones and sharing observations with parents and carers

- Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues, fostering a sense of community and belonging

- Implement behaviour guidance strategies that support children's social and emotional learning

- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and coordinate activities and routines that meet the needs of all children

- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and centre policies

- Communicate regularly with families about their child's learning, development and experiences at the centre

- Participate in professional development and training to enhance teaching practice and maintain current knowledge

- Support the implementation of curriculum frameworks and educational philosophies aligned with early childhood best practice

What we're looking for





- A recognised early childhood teaching qualification (such as a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education)

- Current Working with Children Check or the ability to obtain one prior to commencement

- Knowledge of early childhood education frameworks, including the Australian Curriculum: Foundation to Year 10 and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and team members

- A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to supporting children's holistic development

- The ability to create inclusive, engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences

- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively

- A sound understanding of child safeguarding, health and safety requirements in early childhood settings

- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)

- Experience working collaboratively within a team environment

- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice
