Shifts: Monday to Friday 0600-1400 & Wednesday to Sunday 0900-1700

Bring your cooking skills to a role with purpose

As a Cook, you will work alongside our team to deliver quality food service for our residents. Your responsibilities will include:

- Undertaking food handling, meal preparation and cooking duties
- Maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen, including equipment, appliances and utensils, in line with cleaning and infection control procedures
- Completing basic records, including meal numbers, missed meals and fridge and freezer temperatures
- Liaising with your supervisor and suppliers about ordering and stock control
- Supporting a culture of safety, teamwork and continuous improvement

About you

You enjoy preparing food and understand the care that goes into providing a consistent, quality meal service. You will contribute as an integral member of the Seniors Living group and support activities aligned with the strategic direction of Churches of Christ.

You will have:

- Experience working in aged care
- Knowledge of commercial food preparation, cooking processes, food hygiene and the secure use of kitchen cleaning chemicals
- Knowledge and understanding of texture modified foods
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work morning and afternoon shifts
- Good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- A commitment to safe work practices and quality service

Appointment is subject to relevant screening requirements,



including a current National Police Certificate or the ability to obtain one. Applicants must also have Australian work rights (sponsorship is not available for this position).
