Product Owner

Turn great product ideas into successful customer launches.

At IMPOS, we’re looking for a Product Owner who can take software products and features through the final mile, turning completed development work into well-planned launches that are adopted by customers and deliver lasting results.

This is a hands-on delivery role where you’ll take a defined scope, build the plan, coordinate the people involved and guide each release through to go-live. You’ll work across engineering, quality assurance, support, training, sales and marketing, as well as directly with customers and partners during rollout.

Success will be measured by launches going live on time and customers genuinely adopting what we deliver.

What you’ll be doing

Plan the launch

- Turn a defined scope into a clear delivery plan covering milestones, owners, dependencies, risks and go-live dates.

- Define what “ready to launch” means, including acceptance criteria, release readiness and rollback planning.

- Size the work realistically and agree on the approach with stakeholders before delivery begins.

Lead the delivery

- Coordinate day-to-day delivery, including stand-ups, progress updates, blockers, decisions and follow-through.

- Bring together engineering, quality assurance, support, training, marketing and customer success.

- Manage user acceptance testing, pilots and staged customer rollouts.

- Provide explicit and honest updates on progress, risks and changes.

Adapt when things change

- Identify early when the original plan is no longer working.

- Adjust scope, sequence or timing while clearly explaining the reasoning.

- Manage risks, issues and change requests, balancing scope, time and quality.

- Escalate decisions quickly, presenting clear options and a recommendation.

Make the launch stick

- Ensure training, documentation, customer communication and support handover are ready before go-live.

- Monitor customer adoption and early performance after launch.





- Remove obstacles that prevent customers from using the product successfully.

- Run retrospectives and apply the lessons to future releases.

- Use artificial intelligence tools to support planning, reporting, release notes and documentation.

About you

You may currently be working as a Product Owner, Project Manager, Delivery Lead or Implementation Manager. More important than your title is your ability to take software or technology projects from initial scope through to a successful go-live.

You’ll bring:

- Experience delivering small to mid-sized software or technology projects from start to finish.

- Confidence managing user acceptance testing, release readiness, cutover, training and support handover.

- The judgement to change direction mid-project and bring stakeholders with you.

- Experience working with agile approaches such as Scrum or Kanban, alongside more traditional project methods.

- Clear, concise communication with engineers, customers and senior stakeholders.

- The confidence to raise risks and deliver difficult news early.

- Experience using project delivery tools such as Jira or similar.

- A practical interest in using artificial intelligence tools to improve planning, tracking and reporting.

Nice to have

- Experience implementing point-of-sale, retail or hospitality software across customer sites.

- A background in customer onboarding, implementation or professional services.

- Exposure to change management and end-user training.

- Hands-on experience using artificial intelligence agents to automate administration, reporting or documentation.

- Relevant certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, Certified ScrumMaster or Professional Scrum Product Owner.
