- Work directly with the CEO and managers to turn ideas into practical improvements.

- Contribute to a multidisciplinary organisation supporting the Pilbara’s electricity system and energy transition.

Benefits of Working with Pilbara ISOCo

- Flexible working arrangements.

- A Perth CBD location close to train and bus connections.

- A small, collaborative team with direct access to management and experienced specialists.

- Broad exposure to engineering, operations, regulation and corporate services.

About the Role

This is a broad,

hands-on people and culture role with a complementary business support remit. You will balance day-to-day employee support with improvements to our people policies, systems and organisational capability, working with managers and specialist advisers where required.

You will:

- Coordinate recruitment, selection and appointments, and the employee lifecycle from induction and onboarding through employment changes and departures, liaising with finance and IT on payroll, equipment and system access.

- Provide practical HR advice and support probation, performance, employee feedback and development processes.

- Maintain employment documentation and employee records, and develop and improve people policies, procedures and HR systems.

- Take an active role in strengthening workplace culture and employee engagement by bringing colleagues together, encouraging participation and turning employee feedback into practical initiatives, alongside supporting workforce planning.

- Coordinate organisation-wide training and professional development: identify capability needs with managers, maintain an annual training plan and calendar, arrange mandatory, compliance, professional and role-specific training, and monitor training and competency records and completion requirements.

- Coordinate work health and safety (WHS) and wellbeing initiatives, including workplace assessments, safety inductions and follow-up actions, with managers and specialist advisers.

- Support internal communications and organisational change through staff updates, team activities and practical guidance on new systems and ways of working.

- Prepare workforce and people reporting on recruitment, vacancies, training completion, leave trends and workforce capacity for management and Board reporting.

- Coordinate external HR, recruitment and training providers where required.

About You

You are an experienced HR generalist who brings warmth, energy and initiative to building a connected workplace. You enjoy bringing people together, making conversations easier and helping colleagues feel included and informed. You build trust across different working styles, listen as confidently as you communicate, and balance an approachable manner with sound judgement and discretion. You are equally comfortable handling sensitive people matters, coordinating day-to-day activities and making practical improvements that help a small organisation work better.

You will ideally bring:

- Qualifications in human resources, employment relations, business or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

- Generalist HR or people and culture experience across recruitment, the employee lifecycle, performance and employee development.

- Experience coordinating staff training, professional development and associated records.

- Working knowledge of Australian employment and workplace relations requirements.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain processes clearly and prepare useful workforce reports.

- Sound judgement, discretion and care when handling confidential information and sensitive matters.

- Strong organisational skills, initiative and the ability to balance competing priorities in a small team.

Experience coordinating WHS and wellbeing initiatives, internal communications or organisational change would be an advantage, as would experience in a small or growing organisation or the energy, utilities, government, regulatory or professional services sectors.
