About the role

Punchline Excavations is seeking an experienced Pipe layer foreman to join our team in Sydney, NSW. Must have Sydney water accreditation and to be key personnel. This is a full-time position responsible for overseeing the installation of underground pipes and ensuring the efficient and safe completion of pipe laying projects. Wages or Sub contractor rates can be negotiated, also fuel vehicle and phone provided

What you'll be doing

- Supervise a team of pipe layers and coordinate their daily activities to ensure projects are completed on time and to the required standards

- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to plan and direct the pipe laying work

- Operate machinery and equipment required for pipe laying, such as backhoes and trench diggers

- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed on site

- Liaise with clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders to provide updates and address any issues

- Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used and labour hours

- Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to less experienced pipe layers

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a pipe layer foreman or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry

- Solid technical knowledge of pipe laying techniques, materials and equipment





- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical specifications

- Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage a team

- Commitment to upholding health and safety standards on site

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

- Valid driver's licence and construction industry tickets/certifications
