A long-established national commercial law firm is adding a junior lawyer to its Brisbane Planning & Environment team. It is a large, well-resourced practice with a strong pipeline of work, and you would report directly to a Senior Team member and have access to a Partner who is known for developing junior lawyers into good ones. Mentoring on a daily basis!
What you’ll actually do
You will run your own files from the start, with real court exposure, not a watching brief. The work is varied and complex, and it changes daily:
- Litigation in the Planning & Environment Court
- Environmental impact assessments
- Planning scheme amendments and approvals
- Project approvals under State and Federal legislation
- Land acquisition and access
- Regulatory compliance, enforcement and disputes
You will work alongside senior lawyers who have time to teach,
and a Partner who takes mentoring seriously.

Who this suits
- 1 to 3 years’ post-admission experience in planning and environment law. More experience will also be considered.
