Job Description

About the role The Ramp Safety Coordinator sits within the Aviation Operations team and plays a critical role in ensuring the safe,secureand efficient operation of airside ramp environments at Sydney Airport. As part of one of the largest operational teams at the airport, this role works closely with airlines, groundhandlersand internal stakeholders to uphold safety standards and operational compliance across all ramp activities. This roleis responsible formonitoring ramp operations, conducting compliance and enforcement activities and supporting continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety outcomes. The Ramp Safety Coordinator has a direct impact onday-to-dayairside operations,



contributing to a worldclass airport experience by ensuring all activities are carried out in line with procedures,regulationsand safety expectations.

Please note this is a 14-month max term contract opportunity.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to…

- Monitor ramp activities to ensure the safe,compliantand efficient movement ofaircraft,vehiclesand pedestrians.
- Conduct safety and serviceability inspections of ramp areas in line with the Airport Operations Manual and licence requirements.
- Deliver targeted compliance and enforcement programs that improve safety behaviours and operational outcomes.
- Liaise with airlines, groundhandlersand other airside stakeholders to resolve operational issues collaboratively.
- Completeaccuratereporting on compliance activities, performancetrendsand noncompliance matters.
- Support incident and emergency responses, including escorts and coordination with Air Traffic Control whenrequired.

About you

- Bring proven experience within asafety focusedor operational environment.
- Demonstrateunderstandingof safety systems,standardsand regulatory requirements.
- Exhibit confident communication and stakeholder engagement skills in complex, fast paced settings.
- Show the ability to manage competing priorities whilemaintainingattention to detail and safety.
- Apply sound judgement when responding to incidents,compliance matters and operational challenges.
- Align with Sydney Airport's values andmaintaina strongsafety-firstmindset.
