Position: Tailor (Full time - 38 hours per week)

Location of workplace: NICE LOOK Alteration, Shop Number Koisk 18, NARELLAN TOWN Centre.

GNT BANGA PTY LTD (trading as Singh Smart Alterations and Nice Look Alteration) was established in 2012, looking for experiences Tailor.

To be considered for the role the candidate will need to have a relevant industry qualification and at least 1-3 years' experience in a similar position

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Confers with customers to determine material,stylesand designs of garments.
- Fitting the customer with a garment and deciding where to makeadjustments
- Agreeing alterations and marking them out using chalk or pins
- Deciding which kind of stitching would suit different types offabric
- Taking up or letting down hemlines
- Adjusting seams,dartsor waistbands
- Repairing zips and other fastenings




- Stitching by hand or using an industrial sewing machine like an overlocker
- Dressmaking or tailoring
- Interprets designs,sketchesand samples to determine pattern specifications.
- Cuts out master patterns.
- Lays up and cuts fabric.
- Pins,bastesand drapes garment parts.
- Fits basted garments on customers and marks areas requiring alteration.
- Sews buttonholes, and sews on buttons, hooks,eyesand press fasteners to finish garments.
- Pressing and finishing work.

Skills & Qualifications required for the position:

- Have at least 1-3 years of full-time work experience as aTailor.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
