About the role:
We have been exclusively engaged to recruit a Contracts Superintendent for a well-established organisation with significant operational and commercial activities.
As Contracts Superintendent you will manage a team of direct reports and be responsible for managing the contracts function, including ensuring compliance of procurement activities with site policy and procedures, and provide visible leadership, advice and support.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing planning and allocation of task activities.
- Supporting operational or divisional budgets in terms of managing resources effectively, including monitoring and controlling costs.
- Assisting in the development of standards, procedures and processes.
- Managing the identification and implementation of improvements.
About the Person:
- Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Business, Commerce, Law or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating procurement and contract management activities in a mining, construction, industrial or heavy industry environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing requests for tender, the evaluation and negotiation of tenders, the development of contracts and management of contractors.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence across multiple business functions.
- Solid analytical, organisational and problem solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience using ERP, Procure-to-Pay and contract management systems.
