About the role

We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Specialist to join a Federal Government client in Canberra, supporting a Records Modernisation project. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise and project delivery support, assisting with the planning, execution and handover of legacy data migration to SharePoint Online.

Key responsibilities

- Provide technical support for the Records Modernisation project, including planning, execution and handover activities.
- Configure, administer and maintain SharePoint Online environments.
- Support the migration of legacy data to SharePoint Online using tools such as ShareGate.
- Develop and maintain information architecture and governance frameworks.
- Customise and develop SharePoint solutions to meet business requirements.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to support administration, automation and migration activities.
- Build and support solutions using Microsoft Power Platform.
- Integrate SharePoint Online with Microsoft 365 applications and services.
- Support project delivery and transition activities.

Desirable criteria

- Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator Associate certification.
- Relevant Microsoft 365 certification.




- Experience using ShareGate or similar migration tools.

Skills and experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

- 3-7 years of relevant experience working with SharePoint and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Strong technical expertise in SharePoint Online administration and configuration.
- Experience in information architecture, governance and records management.
- Proficiency in Power Platform development and SharePoint customisation.
- Demonstrated experience migrating legacy data and systems to SharePoint Online.
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills.
- Experience integrating SharePoint with Microsoft 365 services.
- Proven experience delivering successful projects, supported by relevant case studies and work outcomes.
- Ability to provide professional references.
