Underground Construction / Service Crew Civil All Rounder

The Opportunity

AWCON is looking for an experienced underground civil all-rounder to join our crew on a QLD site. The role is FIFO on a 8/6 roster. You’ll work alongside Project Managers and site teams on a mix of concrete, infrastructure and underground mining services work. You’ll be trusted to take ownership of safety, quality and productivity in your work.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Delivering underground civil construction and mining services works safely and productively
- Formwork, concrete placement and finishing for walls, slabs, columns and other structures
- Installing underground mining services and carrying out general mine support works
- Operating handheld mining equipment, including air legs, and underground plant and equipment
- Completing pre-start inspections and equipment checks, and assisting with civil earthworks
- Looking for smarter, faster ways to get the job done without cutting corners on quality or safety
- Following all site safety procedures and backing AWCON’s strong safety culture

What You’ll Bring

- Proven experience in underground mining and civil construction environments
- Hands‑on skills across formwork, concrete finishing, services installation and air legging
- A good working knowledge of WHS,



quality and compliance requirements in an ISO‑accredited business
- A White Card (General Construction Induction) and a Working at Heights ticket
- Relevant High Risk Work Licences
- A current First Aid Certificate, or willingness to get one before starting
- Explicit communication and the ability to work well with crews, supervisors and site leadership
