At Brightstar Resources, we're looking for a PitTechnician to join our Geology team and provide criticalore control and technical support across our open pit miningoperations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone withmining experience who enjoys working in the field, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants exposure across geology, surveyand geotechnical disciplines. This role is on a 2:1 roster.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Open Pit Geologist, the Pit Technicianis responsible for supporting grade control, sampling, ore spottingand field-based technical services activities. Working closely withGeologists, Surveyors, Geotechnical Engineers and Mining crews,you'll help ensure ore is accurately identified, tracked anddelivered safely and efficiently.

This role is deliberately multi-skilled, providing exposure to arange of Technical Services functions while building valuablecareer pathways within the mining industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct grade control, blasthole and stockpile sampling inline with site protocols.
- Perform ore spotting activities and provide excavationguidance to mining operators.
- Mark out ore and waste boundaries from approved geologicalmark-ups
- Assist with blast movement monitoring and post-blast datacollection.
- Support ROM pad inspections,



or tracking and stockpilereconciliation activities.
- Assist Survey teams with pegging, GPS pick-ups, stockpilescans and drone survey activities.
- Support Geotechnical inspections and monitoringprograms.
- Maintain accurate field records and enter data into sitedatabases.
- Monitor geology consumables and field equipmentinventories.
- Work collaboratively across Geology, Survey, Mining andTechnical Services teams.

What We're Looking For

- Minimum 12 months' experience within an operational miningenvironment
- Experience in sampling, geology support, survey support orrelated field-based mining activities
- Current manual C-Class Driver's Licence
- Physically fit and able to work in a demanding outdoorenvironment.
- Robust attention to detail and commitment to safe workpractices
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcoholscreening.

Highly Regarded

- Certificate III in Mining Exploration or similarqualification
- First Aid Certificate
- Experience with ore spotting and blast movementmonitoring
- CASA Drone Accreditation or Remote Pilot Licence(RePL)
