What we’re looking for

- A proven software engineering background, followed by progression into engineering leadership.
- Experience managing teams of software engineers, ideally in complex enterprise environments.
- Robust understanding of modern backend engineering, APIs, microservices and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with Java, Spring Boot, .NET, Python or comparable development technologies.
- Experience delivering software using cloud infrastructure, DevOps and CI/CD practices.
- Knowledge of identity, authentication, authorisation or API security.
- Excellent stakeholder management, coaching and technical decision-making skills.

Experience with IAM, CIAM, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect or identity platforms is highly desirable.

Important: We're seeking an Engineering Manager with genuine software development experience, rather than someone whose background is primarily IAM operations, security governance or infrastructure support.
