The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a consulting engineering background to take ownership of projects from initial concept and design through to construction and delivery.

Working closely with clients, consultants and multidisciplinary project teams, you will play a key role in developing practical engineering solutions, coordinating project requirements and ensuring designs meet the required technical, regulatory and commercial standards.

With an immediate start available, the business is looking to speak with suitable candidates who can make an immediate contribution.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the mechanical design and delivery of HVAC and building services projects from concept through to construction.
- Prepare and review mechanical engineering designs, calculations, specifications and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers and other project stakeholders to ensure integrated design outcomes.
- Manage client relationships, attend design coordination meetings and undertake site inspections as required.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant Australian Standards, NCC requirements and local authority regulations.
- Identify technical challenges and develop practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Support project delivery through design reviews,



construction-phase assistance and ongoing technical advice.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in consulting engineering, with a robust focus on HVAC and mechanical building services design.
- Experience delivering projects across sectors such as commercial, residential, mixed-use, education or student accommodation.
- The ability to manage projects independently, from concept design through to construction documentation and delivery.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC requirements and relevant approval processes.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the confidence to manage client relationships and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach and a commitment to producing high-quality engineering outcomes.
