Salary: $180,000 – $280,000

Job Description As a Senior Corporate Counsel and Team Leader at TAL, you'll play a key role in helping customers navigate complex disputes and litigation matters with fairness, care and confidence. By combining deep expertise with a customer-first mindset, you'll help deliver trusted outcomes that protect what matters most to Australians, while bringing TAL's purpose and values to life every day.In this role you will:Lead and develop a high-performing team that delivers trusted legal and dispute resolution outcomes.Provide expert legal advice to support sound decision making on complex claims, disputes and emerging risks.Shape dispute resolution strategies that achieve fair,



commercially balanced and customer-focused outcomes.Influence business outcomes through proactive engagement with senior stakeholders on material legal and regulatory matters.Drive continuous improvement and knowledge sharing to strengthen capability, consistency and compliance.Partner across TAL to deliver strategic priorities, enable change and enhance customer experience.Champion consistent, high-quality dispute resolution practices that strengthen customer trust and regulatory confidence.QualificationsAdmitted legal practitioner with a minimum of 8 years' post qualification experienceStrong understanding of insurance law, life insurance legislation and dispute resolution frameworksExperience managing complex matters with courts, tribunals and external dispute resolution bodiesExceptional written, verbal communication and legal drafting skillsAbility to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levelsCollaborative approach with a robust commitment to teamwork and shared successExperience leading or developing people, with a passion for coaching and supporting growth#J-18808-Ljbffr
