Are you a detail-oriented Structural Draftsperson looking to join a respected steel fabrication business where your expertise directly contributes to the successful delivery of complex construction projects?

Our client is a specialist provider of steel fabrication solutions across commercial, industrial and residential construction sectors. With a strong reputation for quality, safety and precision, they work closely with engineers, builders and contractors to deliver accurate, buildable steel structures that meet the highest industry standards.

Due to growth, our client is seeking an experienced Structural Draftsperson to join their Adelaide based team and play a key role in transforming engineering concepts into fabrication-ready documentation.

Within this role. you will be responsible for preparing detailed structural and shop drawings to support steel fabrication and installation projects. You will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers and workshop personnel to ensure drawings are accurate, compliant and aligned with project requirements.

The role:

- Producing detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings and structural documentation for steel projects
- Interpreting architectural, structural and engineering drawings and specifications
- Ensuring all drawings comply with relevant Australian Standards, building codes and project requirements
- Coordinating with engineers, project managers, fabricators and site teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Updating and revising drawings to reflect design modifications and site requirements
- Utilising BIM and 3D modelling tools to support project coordination and clash detection
- Maintaining accurate drawing registers,



revisions and project documentation
- Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives related to drafting processes and standards
- Supporting efficient project delivery through accurate and timely documentation

What we're looking for:

- Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Drafting, Structural Engineering or a related discipline
- Proven experience as a Structural Draftsperson, Steel Detailer or similar role
- Exposure to commercial, industrial or residential construction projects
- Strong ability to prepare detailed shop drawings and fabrication documentation
- Experience interpreting architectural and structural engineering drawings
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla, Revit or similar structural drafting software
- Familiarity with BIM processes and workflows
- Sound knowledge of Australian Standards and construction industry requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- The ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
