Senior Dental Receptionist | Pathway into Practice Management

We're looking for a Senior Dental Receptionist to lead reception from the outset, with a clear focus on improving patient rebooking and long‑term retention.

You'll combine hands‑on patient service with team leadership, helping patients stay on track with their ongoing care and improving the way reception runs.

Your role

Coordinate reception priorities, appointments and patient enquiries.

Train and support the team, keeping handovers clear and agreed tasks on track.

Oversee recall and follow‑up processes so patients have a transparent next step in their ongoing care.

Identify recurring workflow problems, put improvements into practice and check that they are working.





Protected time each week will support staff training, follow‑up oversight and reception improvements.

A pathway into Practice Management

As you demonstrate capability in reception leadership, your responsibilities can expand into business reporting, rostering, marketing coordination and wider practice operations. Progression will be agreed with the owner, with training, clear authority, protected management time and reception coverage.

The wider PM role would also own structured dental assistant onboarding, training plans, competency tracking and follow‑through. Experience training dental assistants is highly desirable.
