Elm Tree Early Learning is looking for a passionate Lead Educator to work with our before and after school care children. If you enjoy working with school-aged children, planning fun activities and creating a place where children feel welcome and connected, we would love to hear from you.

The opportunity

You will lead our before and after school care program, creating a welcoming environment where children can enjoy time with friends, explore their interests and unwind around their school day.

Working alongside the Centre Director and Educational Leader, you will:

- Plan and deliver a program that reflects children’s interests, ideas and choices.
- Provide a balance of creative activities, outdoor play, group experiences and quiet spaces.
- Build positive relationships with children and families.
- Support children’s friendships, independence and wellbeing.
- Guide and support the educators working within the program.




- Coordinate safe school drop-offs and collections in line with centre procedures.
- Maintain active supervision, accurate attendance records and safe transitions.
- Use the My Time, Our Place framework to guide planning and reflection.

We are looking for someone who brings energy, initiative and fresh ideas, understands the needs of school-aged children and enjoys involving them in planning their program.

What you’ll bring

- A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Experience working with school-aged children, ideally in before and after school care
- Experience leading a team or readiness to step into a leadership role
- Knowledge of My Time, Our Place and the National Quality Standard
- A current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Solid communication and organisational skills
- A commitment to child safety and building positive relationships
- Availability to work before and after school care hours
