Great opportunity for an immediately available logistics officer to join a fast-paced steel distribution environment based in South Brisbane to work Monday to Friday 10am-6pm.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working hands on with systems, problem-solving, and coordinating warehouse and transport operations.
Your new role
- Retrieve and process customer orders through logistics systems
- Work closely with the warehouse team to pack and allocate products for customer orders.
- Generate planning and dispatch reports to create delivery loads for the following day.
- operate across two separate logistics systems, depending on the production source of the products
- Print and prepare dispatch documentation for the warehouse and transport teams
- Update operational information and planning spreadsheets within Microsoft Teams
- Investigate and resolve day-to-day operational and system issues to ensure deliveries remain on schedule.
- Complete compliance checks,
including verifying load compliance.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in logistics, transport, warehousing or supply chain is highly desirable.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn multiple software systems quickly.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced operational workplace.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
