Milton Therapy and Learning Centre – Milton NSW

Structured Graduate Program | Weekly Supervision | Six Weeks Annual Leave

Ready to embark on your career as a speech pathologist? Our graduate program is designed to give you the supervision, support and variety you need to become a confident clinician, while you enjoy life on the beautiful NSW South Coast.

About Us

Milton Therapy and Learning Centre (TLC) is an award-winning multidisciplinary practice with centres in Milton and Sanctuary Point. Our team of speech pathologists, occupational therapists alongside our psychologist, social worker and counsellor, work together to support children and families in a neurodiversity-affirming, values-driven way. We were named the 2024 Australian Small Business Champion for Allied Health.

Our Graduate Program

We know the first year is a big step. Our program gives you:

Weekly one-to-one supervision with Kate Kinch, our Clinical Director, who brings over 20 years of speech pathology experience across government, not-for-profit and private practice

Shadowing experienced speech pathologists across your first few weeks while you gradually build your own caseload

A structured caseload plan that starts slow and builds gradually over 20 weeks, so you’re never thrown in the deep end

Ongoing opportunities to observe sessions in occupational therapy, psychology, social work and play therapy, building a genuine multidisciplinary understanding from the start of your career

Joint therapy sessions and in-house training throughout your first year

Support to meet your Speech Pathology Australia certification requirements

Up to $10,000 per year to spend on your learning (via application to RDN Health Workforce Scholarship Program)

A clear pathway to the next level, with a pay increase attached

Learning from a clinician with Kate's breadth of experience, alongside 3 other experienced speechies and a multidisciplinary team of 20 therapists, means you’ll be guided through everything from complex assessments to working with schools and families, with a team that genuinely enjoys helping new clinicians grow.

What You’ll Be Doing

Assessment and therapy for children and families as well as some adults

Working with schools, preschools and community services

Running groups with colleagues in our new purpose-built sensory gym

Supporting NDIS participants as part of a cooperative team

Pay and Conditions

Above-award salary of $76,000 to $86,000 per year plus 12% super

Six weeks of paid annual leave

Paid parental leave

Realistic targets that include your preparation and follow-up time as standard

A dedicated support team who look after bookings, billing, intake and scheduling, so you can focus on your clients

Full-time and part-time applications welcomed.

Life on the South Coast

Swim at Mollymook before work, grab dinner in Milton, and spend weekends exploring national parks and some of the best beaches in the country. If you’re relocating, we’ll help you settle in and connect with the community.

What We’re Looking For

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech Pathology, completed or due for completion in 2026

Eligibility for Speech Pathology Australia membership

A current NSW Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)

A genuine interest in family-centred, evidence-based practice
