We're looking for a proactive Purchasing Officer to join our Brisbane-based team and play a key role in supporting the procurement and purchasing function across the business.

This permanent full-time opportunity will see you manage purchasing requests, source products, liaise with suppliers, and support procurement initiatives that directly impact the homes and services we provide. From furniture and whitegoods to everyday household essentials, you'll help ensure our teams and customers have access to the resources they need while contributing to smarter, more efficient ways of working.

About the Role

This is much more than a purchasing administration role.

You'll work closely with the Procurement Lead to coordinate purchasing activities, support procurement processes, and ensure goods and services are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively. You'll manage requests from stakeholders across the business, source suitable products, monitor orders, maintain records, and help improve procurement processes as the function continues to evolve.

and finding practical solutions that balance value, quality and operational requirements.

What You'll Do in Your New Role

· Manage purchasing requests, create purchase orders and ensure compliance with procurement processes

· Source furniture, appliances, household goods and operational supplies while identifying cost-effective solutions

· Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely purchasing and delivery outcomes

· Maintain accurate purchasing records, inventory information and resolve goods receipt and invoice matching issues

· Support procurement projects, supplier management and continuous improvement initiatives across the business

About You

You're someone who thrives on organisation, enjoys solving problems and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.

You build strong relationships, communicate confidently and enjoy finding better ways of doing things. You're the type of person who notices when something can be improved and takes ownership to help make it happen.

You'll bring:

· Experience in purchasing, procurement, accounts payable, finance administration or a similar role

· Strong administration skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

· Experience using purchasing, finance or ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or MS Dynamics

· Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, both written and verbal

· Highly organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities independently
