Chief Finance Officer
Executive finance leadership opportunity

We are partnering with a well-established and growing organisation to appoint a Chief Financial Officer. This is a key executive leadership role for a commercially minded finance leader who can support strategy, improve performance, strengthen planning, and provide high-quality financial leadership across a complex business.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and working closely with the executive team and Board, the Chief Financial Officer will play a central role in shaping financial strategy, supporting commercial decision-making, managing performance, and ensuring the business has the insight, discipline and governance required for sustainable growth.

This opportunity will suit an experienced CFO or a senior finance leader ready to step into a broader executive role.

The role

The Chief Financial Officer will lead the finance function and act as a trusted adviser to the Chief Executive Officer, Board and leadership team. The role will be responsible for financial strategy, planning and analysis, reporting, cash flow, risk management, controls, systems improvement, and finance team leadership.

The successful candidate will bring a strong blend of commercial judgement, financial rigour and leadership capability. You will be comfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on levels, helping guide business performance while also building the frameworks, reporting and processes needed to support future growth.

Key responsibilities





- Lead the financial strategy of the business and align financial plans with broader organisational objectives
- Partner with the Chief Executive Officer and leadership team on business planning, performance and key decision-making
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning and financial analysis
- Provide clear insight into business performance, risks, opportunities and improvement priorities
- Support commercial and operational decisions through robust financial analysis and modelling
- Lead Board reporting and provide high-quality information to support governance and decision-making
- Oversee funding, liquidity, financial controls, compliance and risk management
- Improve reporting, systems and the quality of management information across the business
- Develop and lead a capable, responsive and commercially focused finance team
- Build strong working relationships across the organisation and with external stakeholders

About you

We are interested in speaking with accomplished CFOs as well as high-performing Financial Controllers or Heads of Finance who are ready to step into their first Chief Financial Officer role.

You will bring:

- A recognised accounting qualification such as CA, CPA or equivalent




- Senior finance leadership experience in a complex business environment
- Strong capability across financial planning, analysis, reporting and cash flow management
- Sound commercial judgement and the ability to support strategic and operational decisions
- Experience working with senior executives, Boards and external advisers
- A track record of improving financial processes, reporting and controls
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor teams and influence stakeholders across the business
- A pragmatic, credible and collaborative style, with the confidence to challenge when needed
