About Us

East Coast Passive (ECP) is a passive fire protection company providing inspection, testing, maintenance, installation and rectification services across commercial, residential, strata and industrial properties throughout Sydney and New South Wales.

Due to ongoing work and business growth, we are seeking multiple experienced and reliable Passive Fire Technicians to join our team on either a subcontract or full-time basis.

We are looking for technicians specialising in fire doors, fire dampers and passive fire stopping.

Applicants with experience in one or more of these disciplines are encouraged to apply. Experience across all three areas is not required.

Positions & Scope of Works
Fire Door Technicians

- Inspection, testing, maintenance and repairs of fire doors

- Installation and replacement of fire doors and frames

- Replacement and adjustment of door closers, hinges, locks, latches and seals

Fire Damper Technicians

- Inspection and testing of fire and smoke dampers

- Maintenance, repairs and replacement of fire dampers

- Identification and rectification of compliance defects

Passive Fire / Fire Stopping Technicians

- Installation and rectification of fire-rated penetration sealing systems

- Installation of fire collars, wraps, sealants, fire-rated batts and other tested systems

- Completion of installation records, photographs and documentation

About You

We are seeking motivated and reliable technicians who have:

- Previous experience in passive fire protection or a relevant trade

- Knowledge of applicable Australian Standards and tested fire protection systems

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Good communication and problem-solving skills

- Current driver's licence and reliable transport

- Ability to complete inspection reports and site documentation





- Relevant trade qualifications, licences or accreditations where applicable

- A professional attitude towards workplace safety and compliance

Subcontractor Requirements

For applicants interested in subcontracting opportunities, we are looking for individuals or businesses with:

- Valid ABN

- Relevant experience in their nominated discipline

- Own tools and equipment

- Appropriate insurances

- Ability to work independently and manage allocated works

- Capacity to undertake ongoing or project-based work across Sydney and New South Wales
