About the Role

Exceed Industries is seeking a skilled and motivated maintenance/mechanical fitter to join our growing team. The successful applicant will be involved in the site maintenance, assembly, and finishing of a wide range of products, working from engineering drawings and customer specifications to deliver high-quality outcomes for our clients.

As workload increases, for the correct candidate the position will evolve into a site lead/supervisor role and be the face and driving force of our maintenance division.

Key Responsibilities

- Preventative maintenance across industrial plant and equipment

- Breakdown response, fault finding and troubleshooting

- Mechanical repairs, component change-outs and equipment alignment

- Shutdowns, plant upgrades and installation support

- Maintenance of conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, motors, bearings and associated equipment

- Isolation, disassembly, inspection and reassembly of mechanical systems

- Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.

- Perform minor welding and assembly of onsite as required.

- Carry out quality checks to ensure work meets specifications and company standards.

- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.

- Work effectively as part of a team to achieve production targets and deadlines.

Skills & Experience
Essential:





- Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitting), or equivalent

- Mechanical maintenance experience in industrial environments

- Strong fault finding and troubleshooting skills

- Experience maintaining rotating equipment, conveyors and associated plant

- White Card

- Forklift

- A reliable, practical approach and commitment to protected work

- Pride in your workmanship and the ability to work well within a team

- Flexibility to work across other SEQ sites

- Good problem-solving skills and a positive attitude toward safety.

- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Desirable:

- MIG/TIG welding experience for minor sire repairs.

- Dogging or Rigging tickets highly regarded but not essential

- EWP and Working at Heights tickets.

- Customer relations experience.
