Key Responsibilities

- Lead the hands-on setup, execution and operation of conferences and events, ensuring every function is set as stated in the BEOs
- Deliver excellent banquet service that meets and exceeds the needs of internal and external guests
- Support the C&E; Ops Manager to control expenses and manage profitability, including inventory, stock ordering and weekly beverage stocktake
- Coach and train the team using the Banquet handbook, and uphold SOPs and the Sequence of Service




- Build rapport with existing clients and prospective clients to help create new function business
- Resolve guest complaints immediately and keep the department compliant with Health and Safety, fire and hygiene requirements

What You'll Bring

- Hands-on experience supervising banquet, conference and events operations
- Knowledge of hotel and outlet capacities and room set-ups
- The ability to set functions accurately to BEOs and confirm equipment hire before each event
- Skills in rostering in line with company policy and using the team well in quiet periods
- Accuracy with billing in line with financial policies
- A guest-first approach, with empathy for the guest's point of view
- A commitment to food safety, cleanliness and impeccable grooming standards
- A collaborative approach to working with other hotel teams to make the most of available resources
