Because of unexpected health issues requiring time away from the farm we require a caretaker/farm sitter for security purposes. We need someone for approximately 3 weeks from about the 20th November 2026. Not a lot of jobs to do except we have a poddy calf to feed twice each day and 3 other calves are being fed once a day. Someone to keep on eye on cows and calves currently paddocked with bulls and report any problems to our casual employee. Also put a meter on electric fences occasionally and again report any issues by phone or text. Since the rain, if the grass continues to grow as it has been, perhaps the applicant would be required to spend some time on the ride-on mower.
A comfortable, furnished cottage with Wi-Fi is available. Would suit retired couple looking for a rural holiday and wanting to help a farmer in need. We are located 40kms from Armidale NSW with some 17kms of gravel.
