About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker for a locum contract with a community-based older adult mental health team in Northern Tasmania. The placement runs from 23 November 2026 to 29 January 2027. You will join a cooperative multidisciplinary team and provide specialist, recovery-oriented care in the community to older people living with complex mental health needs.

- Competitive hourly rate + superannuation
- Locum contract - 23 November 2026 to 29 January 2027
- Monday to Friday day work, 76 hours per fortnight
- Specialist older adult mental health setting with a supportive multidisciplinary team
- Rewarding community-based work with a varied and complex caseload

About You:

- Social Work degree and eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Proven experience working with mental health clients in a community setting
- Current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People registration, or willing to obtain




- Confident with complex mental health presentations; older adult experience is highly regarded
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Available for the full contract period (no planned leave can be approved)
- Eligible to work in Australia
