Based in Laverton North at our Pipe Road chemical manufacturing facility, we’re looking to engage a Senior Project Engineer with mechanical specialisation within our Project Management Team. In the role you will be accountable for the activities and coordination of the project scoping, preliminary and detail design, cost estimation and execution plan of capital projects and act as subject matter expert in your field providing advice to Maintenance and the PMO. This role will have direct leadership experience with direct reports and mentoring.

How You’ll Help Us Grow

- Lead end-to-end CAPEX projects, from concept and design through to commissioning, handover and operational success.

- Good knowledge of mechanical equipment, plant and equipment design (static equipment, pressure vessels and piping, rotating equipment) and relevant standards.

- Experienced in tendering,



contractor selection and construction management activities, including preparing and issuing scopes of work, procurement and tender documents and evaluating technical bids

- Experience applying Safety in Design principles and contributing to HAZOP, LOPA, hazardous area classification and other process safety studies, Management of Change (MOC) and pre-start-up safety reviews

- Drive smart engineering solutions by providing technical expertise, optimising asset performance and minimising total lifecycle costs.

- Manage contractors, budgets and timelines to deliver projects safely, efficiently and on schedule.

- Champion continuous improvement, reliability and best-practice standards through innovation, RCA and process optimisation.

- Make a real impact by ensuring compliance, supporting process safety initiatives and delivering sustainable improvements across operations.

Could This Be You?

You’re Tertiary qualified in Engineering (Mechanical) and bring extensive experience in manufacturing equipment design, technical support, project delivery of small to medium-size projects will be highly regarded. You have a strong scientific approach to solving problems, the ability to make data-based decisions, and you’re comfortable working in a team environment with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation.
