Assistant Accountant

Full-time | Monday to Friday | Griffith, NSW

Flavourtech is seeking an organised, detail-focused Assistant Accountant to support our Finance team with accurate transaction processing, reconciliations, reporting and process improvement. This is a full-time position, although we are open to a permanent part time arrangement for the right candidate.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will help maintain strong financial controls while using technology and documented procedures to improve efficiency.

Key responsibilities

- Process supplier invoices, resolve queries, reconcile statements and prepare payment batches.

- Support customer invoicing, receipt allocation, account reconciliations and overdue debt follow-up.

- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals, prepayments and general ledger schedules.

- Assist with month-end and year-end close, fixed assets, inventory accounting and management reporting.

- Help administer AP automation, investigate workflow exceptions and improve finance processes and procedures.

- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards and expenses; support audits, GST, BAS and statutory reporting.

- Provide backup payroll support, including payroll processing,



employee records and related reconciliations, as required.

- Maintain accurate records, follow controls and protect confidential financial information.

- Provide reception support as required, including answering incoming calls, directing enquiries and welcoming visitors.

About you

Essential

- Relevant accounting studies or practical finance experience.

- Experience with accounts payable, receivable, reconciliations and general ledger work.

- Strong accuracy, organisation, communication and problem-solving skills.

- Confidence using accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.

- A reliable, adaptable approach and commitment to confidentiality and teamwork.

Desirable

- Manufacturing, inventory or ERP experience, ideally Epicor.

- AP automation, payroll support, GST/BAS or process-documentation experience.
