What you’ll do

- Strengthen safeguarding and risk management – oversee incident triage, complaints and escalation pathways, identifying emerging risks and systemic issues.
- Provide regulatory leadership – oversee reportable incident and conduct obligations, working with relevant regulators, oversight bodies and external agencies.
- Turn insights into action – analyse trends, identify gaps and deliver recommendations that improve practice, governance and organisational outcomes.
- Deliver Safeguarding and Child Protection Training – Provide expert advice,

deliver training and coach teams to strengthen their knowledge, confidence and practical application of safeguarding and child protection principles, policies and procedures.
- Lead a high-performing team – develop and support your team of 2 Safeguarding and Investigations Officers, ensuring quality, consistency and operational effectiveness.
- Influence at a senior level – prepare executive briefings, contribute to governance forums and lead coordinated responses to critical incidents.

What you’ll bring

You’re a considered and decisive leader who can navigate complex situations with integrity, discretion and confidence. You know how to balance regulatory obligations, procedural fairness and the practical realities of service delivery, while keeping safeguarding at the centre of every decision.
You’ll bring:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in human services, social work, psychology, law, investigations, risk, compliance or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Proven experience in safeguarding within a child protection environment, incident or complaints management, investigations or reportable conduct within a human services environment.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks, child safety, risk management and procedural fairness.
- Highly developed analytical,
