About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Development Expert – IBM Integration to design, develop and support secure, scalable enterprise integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have solid hands-on experience with IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), IBM API Connect (APIC), ESQL and Java, along with knowledge of cyber security frameworks and secure messaging standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop and implement integration solutions using IBM ACE, IBM APIC, ESQL and Java.
- Design service interfaces, message transformations, XML schemas and integration logic.
- Ensure secure, reliable and reusable system integrations across enterprise applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration, API and messaging issues.
- Apply TLS, PKI concepts and XML standards to secure integration services.
- Develop monitoring, logging, auditing and testing capabilities.
- Conduct code reviews and maintain technical documentation and implementation artefacts.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, testers and support teams to deliver technical solutions.




- Support security remediation, compliance initiatives, backlog prioritisation and delivery planning.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and knowledge transfer to the team.

Essential Skills & Experience

- Solid hands-on experience with IBM ACE and IBM APIC.
- Proficiency in ESQL, Java, XML, XML Schema and message transformation.
- Experience designing and developing enterprise integration and messaging solutions.
- Knowledge of TLS, PKI, secure interfaces and API security.
- Experience in cyber security, security remediation, compliance or risk management within complex ICT environments.
- Understanding of Australian Government security frameworks, including PSPF, ISM and Essential Eight, and familiarity with NIST.
- Strong stakeholder management, technical documentation, problem-solving and communication skills.
