Bush Regeneration / Land Management Team Member

Global Soils is the leader in mine site revegetation and rehabilitation across NSW. We’re seeking motivated and experienced Bush Regeneration / Land Team Members to support land regeneration, mine site rehabilitation and associated land management works across the Hunter Valley. You’ll work as part of a small crew, with opportunities to take on daily task allocation and reporting responsibilities depending on experience.

Key responsibilities

- Weed identification, monitoring and control (including herbicide application and record keeping)
- Bush regeneration and maintenance of rehabilitation areas, biodiversity offsets and buffer lands
- Seed collection, tubestock propagation and tree planting as required
- Operate and maintain small plant and equipment (e.g., backpack sprayers, brush cutters, high volume spray units) and perform pre-start checks
- Daily activity reporting and effective communication with supervisors/clients to plan and deliver work

These responsibilities provide a general overview and may vary by project and site requirements.

Skills and experience

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a small team, and independently when required
- Competent use of mobile devices for reporting (e.g., daily activity and herbicide records)
- Plant identification skills and knowledge of weed management techniques (or willingness to learn)

Mandatory requirements

- High level of fitness and willingness to work outdoors in remote and/or rugged locations
- Strong commitment to WHS: follow company/client procedures, risk assessments and wear PPE as required




- Current driver licence and confidence driving 4x4 vehicles (or willingness to obtain/learn)
- Full working rights in Australia
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment checks (medical, drug & alcohol, and other site-specific screening)
- Willingness to complete a police/reference check where required
- 6+ months relevant experience in bush regeneration, land management, rehabilitation, horticulture, landscaping, agriculture or similar (or demonstrated capability)
- Genuine interest in land regeneration/rehabilitation and willingness to learn site standards

Licences & qualifications (highly regarded)

- White Card (General Construction Induction) or willingness to obtain
- Qualifications in Conservation, Bush Regeneration, Land Management, Horticulture, Landscaping, Environmental Science or similar.
- AQF3 Chemical Users Accreditation / chemical handling accreditation
- 4WD training and practical off-road driving experience
- First Aid (current)
