Female Disability Support Worker – Personal Care / Spinal Injury

Location: Wonthaggi VIC
Employment Type: Casual / Part-Time
Hours: 1 hour in the morning + 1 hour in the afternoon/evening
Pay: As per NDIS SCHADS Award / applicable NDIS rates

About the Role

CarePro is seeking an experienced female Disability Support Worker to provide personal care and daily support to a female NDIS participant living with a spinal injury.

This role is ideally suited to a compassionate and highly experienced support worker who is confident providing personal care to participants with complex physical support needs, particularly those living with spinal injuries.

The participant requires support for approximately one hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon/evening.

Key Responsibilities

- Providing high-quality personal care and assistance with daily routines
- Supporting the participant with personal hygiene, dressing and grooming
- Assisting with transfers and mobility as required
- Following safe manual handling and participant-specific care procedures
- Maintaining the participant's dignity, privacy, independence and choice
- Supporting bowel and continence care where required
- Monitoring and reporting any changes in the participant's wellbeing
- Maintaining accurate support notes and documentation
- Following all NDIS, CarePro and participant-specific care requirements

About You

We are looking for a female support worker who has:

- Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
- Extensive experience providing personal care




- Strong experience supporting people with spinal injuries or significant physical disabilities
- Excellent understanding of manual handling and protected transfers
- A respectful, patient and compassionate approach
- Ability to work independently and follow care plans
- Good communication and reliability

Highly Desirable

Experience with any of the following will be highly regarded:

- Bowel care
- Continence management
- Spinal cord injuries
- Complex personal care
- Hoisting and transfers
- Catheter care
- Pressure injury prevention
- Complex physical disability

Mandatory Requirements

- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check, where applicable
- First Aid and CPR
- Relevant personal care and manual handling experience
- Right to work in Australia
- Ability to complete required CarePro onboarding and training
