We are currently seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join a civil construction and earthworks team in Yennora, NSW. This opportunity is suited to a skilled operator with proven experience working on construction, civil, earthworks, drainage, or infrastructure projects.
The successful applicant will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating excavators while assisting with excavation, trenching, site preparation, material handling, and other earthmoving activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating excavators on civil or construction sites
- Experience with excavation, trenching, earthworks, or site preparation
- Valid White Card
- Relevant plant operating tickets or competency
- Ability to operate machinery safely around workers and other plant
- Good understanding of site safety and excavation procedures
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
- Good communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Ability to follow site plans and supervisor instructions
- Reliable transport to Yennora
- Available to start ASAP
Duties Include
- Safely operating excavators for civil and earthworks activities
- Performing bulk excavation, detailed excavation, trenching, and backfilling
- Assisting with drainage, utilities, and service installation
- Loading trucks and relocating materials around the worksite
- Conducting daily pre-start checks and reporting equipment faults
- Working safely around labourers, trucks, and other heavy machinery
- Assisting with site preparation and general earthworks
- Following site plans, levels, and supervisor instructions
- Maintaining the excavator in a clean and safe operating condition
- Following WHS procedures and site-specific safety requirements
- Completing additional duties as directed by the site supervisor
