About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Investment Functional Project Manager / Business Analyst for a 6-month contract based in Melbourne. This role is ideal for a seasoned investment management professional who has solid functional expertise, excellent stakeholder management skills, and experience delivering technology and business transformation initiatives within the investment management industry .
The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and project sponsors to drive the successful delivery of investment-related projects while ensuring business requirements are effectively translated into functional solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end investment technology or business transformation projects.
- Gather, analyse, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
- Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
- Conduct workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process mapping sessions.
- Prepare Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, user stories, and process flows.
- Coordinate project planning, timelines, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Manage project governance, status reporting,



and stakeholder communications.
- Support solution design and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, and business sign-off.
- Assist with implementation planning, cutover activities, and post-go-live support.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies. Required Skills & Experie
- 8+ years of experience as a Functional Project Manager, Business Analyst, or Functional Consultant within Investment Management
- Strong understanding of front, middle, and back-office investment operations
- Experience across one or more of the following:
- Investment Data Management & Trade Management
- Investment Accounting
- Proven experience managing cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong business analysis, documentation, and process mapping skills.
- Experience delivering Agile and/or Waterfall projects.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Preferred Experi Experience working with one or more of the following platforms would be highly advantageous
- BlackRock Aladdin
- Bloomberg
- Factset
- GoldenSource
- Markit
- Snowflake or other data platforms
