Verso Constructions Pty Ltd – Brisbane QLD

Verso Construction is seeking an experienced Commercial Estimator to join our growing team and play a key role in pricing, securing and delivering future projects across South East Queensland.

Working closely with our Commercial Construction Manager, Design Team and Project Delivery teams, you'll be involved in cost planning, design development, Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) and competitive tendering. You'll contribute to pricing strategies, buildability reviews and procurement decisions that support successful project outcomes.

As part of an integrated builder-developer, you'll have exposure to the broader project lifecycle, from feasibility and design through to construction and delivery, with genuine opportunities for professional growth and career progression.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare cost plans, estimates, BOQs and tender submissions for commercial construction projects.
- Manage estimating activities from project review through to tender submission and handover.
- Undertake quantity take-offs and assess project documentation, specifications and tender requirements.
- Prepare subcontractor tender packages and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Support ECI, Design & Construct and hard-dollar tender opportunities.
- Identify pricing risks, opportunities and value engineering initiatives.
- Contribute to tender strategies, construction methodologies and procurement planning.
- Maintain estimating records, cost databases and market pricing information.

About You

- Demonstrated estimating experience with an Australian commercial head contractor.
- Qualification in Construction Management or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Preparing estimates, cost plans,



quantity take-offs and tender submissions.
- Understanding of ECI, Design & Construct and hard-dollar tendering processes.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodology, buildability and procurement principles.
- Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive, organised and solutions-focused.
- Experience using CostX, Cubit or similar estimating software highly regarded.
