Commercial Analyst - Marketing | $130,000 package | South Eastern Suburbs

Our client is a prominent and highly successful global distributor of consumer and industrial products looking to grow capability in their commercial finance functions locally. Operating across an extensive store and customer network in Australia and New Zealand, the business is a recognised market leader seeking talented individuals who are excited to partner with the business and drive commercial insights the Australian and New Zealand businesses.

This role will play a key part in supporting commercial performance, specifically across their Marketing divisions. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver insight-led analysis, support promotional initiatives and drive improved financial outcomes. Following a recent resignation, they are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

The Challenge

- Delivering monthly commercial reports including sales and KPI analysis
- Preparing management reporting and performance analysis, providing insights into key variances, business drivers and financial results
- Partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to support commercial initiatives, evaluate business opportunities and inform decision-making




- Building financial models to support strategic commercial initiatives
- Developing financial models and business cases to assess the impact of key initiatives and support strategic decisions
- Supporting month-end processes including management reporting and financial analysis

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

- Minimum 3 + years' experience within external audit, ideally in a Big 4 or mid-tier firm looking to make a first move into industry in a role that will support key commercial objectives or;
- A qualified accountant currently working in industry in a medium to large corporate workplace looking to progress your career into a commercially focussed role supporting non-finance stakeholders
- CA/ CPA qualified or nearing completion
- Advanced Excel skills, with exposure to Power BI or similar reporting tools advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across finance, sales and operations
- Strong analytical capability with ability to interpret data, identify trends and provide meaningful recommendations beyond the numbers
- High attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
