About the role

As a Cook, you will work alongside our team to deliver quality food service for our residents. Your responsibilities will include:

- Undertaking food handling, meal preparation and cooking duties.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen, including equipment, appliances and utensils, in line with cleaning and infection control procedures.
- Completing basic records, including meal numbers, missed meals and fridge and freezer temperatures.
- Liaising with your supervisor and suppliers about ordering and stock control.
- Supporting a culture of safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.

About you

You enjoy preparing food and understand the care that goes into providing a consistent, quality meal service. You bring a practical approach, clear communication and a willingness to work as part of a team.

You will have:

- At least one year’s experience as a commercial cook in a hygiene-controlled setting
- Knowledge of commercial food preparation, cooking processes, food hygiene and the safe use of kitchen cleaning chemicals
- Knowledge and understanding of texture modified foods
- Basic computer skills
- Good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- A commitment to safe work practices and quality service
- Valid Australia work rights (sponsorship is not available for this position)
- A genuine alignment with our values of Integrity, Compassion, Excellence and Courage

Appointment is subject to relevant screening requirements,



including a current National Police Certificate or the ability to obtain one. Applicants must also have Australian work rights.
