The Opportunity

We are seeking a capable and motivated Electrical Estimator to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical estimating skilled who combines strong technical knowledge with commercial awareness, attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.

You will play an important role in preparing accurate, competitive and commercially sound quotations and tenders for electrical switchboards, distribution boards and associated electrical equipment.

Working closely with our Sales, Engineering,



Purchasing and Production teams, you will help convert customer enquiries into successful projects while contributing to continuous improvement in our estimating practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and interpret customer enquiries, tender documentation, electrical drawings, specifications and single-line diagrams.
- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates, including material take-offs, bills of materials, labour requirements and project costs.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to obtain competitive pricing, clarify technical requirements and identify cost-effective solutions.
- Prepare and submit professional quotations and tenders, ensuring technical compliance, commercial accuracy and timely responses.
- Collaborate with Sales, Engineering and Production teams to support tender clarifications, project handovers and improvements to estimating systems and processes.

About You

We are looking for someone who brings:

- Demonstrated electrical estimating experience, ideally within low-voltage switchboard manufacturing or a closely related electrical industry.
- Strong ability to interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams,



technical specifications and tender requirements.
- Sound understanding of electrical components, switchboard construction, material costing and relevant Australian Standards, including AS/NZS 61439 and AS/NZS3000.
- Strong numerical, analytical, organisational and Microsoft Excel skills, together with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, commercial awareness and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

A relevant electrical trade or tertiary qualification will be highly regarded. Experience with estimating software, CRM systems and electrical switchboard design or manufacturing processes will be advantageous.
