About the Role:

As an Enrolled Nurse / Team Leader (Maternity Leave Cover), you will provide exceptional clinical care and leadership within our residential aged care home for the duration of a fixed-term maternity leave cover assignment. This is a temporary opportunity to support continuity of care and clinical leadership while the substantive role holder is on maternity leave. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will deliver care in accordance with each resident’s individual support plan and help ensure the smooth and effective operation of clinical services during your shift.

You will lead and support a team of Personal Care Workers (Care Companions), promote best clinical practices, and contribute to a safe, respectful and empowering workplace for our residents. The assignment will be for a temporary period to cover the incumbent employee’s maternity leave, with the expected commencement and end dates to be confirmed with potential extension or other possible opportunities.

Key Responsibilities





- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to residents
- Administer medications safely and in accordance with clinical requirements
- Supervise and support Care Companions to follow best practices
- Manage clinical documentation and resident care plans using eCase
- Coordinate shift activities, review resident needs and prioritize care tasks
- Promote resident independence, dignity, and choice
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and health professionals

- Contribute to continuous improvement and quality care initiatives

What You’ll Need

- Current AHPRA Registration as an Enrolled Nurse (Medication Endorsed)
- Demonstrated experience in aged care(min 1 year)
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations (or willingness to obtain)
- Current medication administration competency
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role in aged care
- Completion of Certificate III in Aged Care or relevant health qualification
