Job Description

Location: Garbutt (4814), Townsville, QLD, and surrounding areas within the Townsville region. Position: Concrete Agitator Truck Driver (Full-Time positions) | Immediate start Salary: $75,000-$85,000 Annually (based on skills and experience) + superannuation + overtime We are seeking skilled and safety-conscious Concrete Agitator Truck Drivers to join our Townsville operations on a full-time basis. The successful applicants will be responsible for operating heavy rigid concrete agitator trucks, transporting and delivering ready-mixed concrete to construction sites and infrastructure projects while maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency and regulatory compliance.

Task & responsibilities

- Driving and operating heavy rigid (HR) concrete agitator trucks for the transportation of concrete
- Delivering concrete to construction sites, batching plants, and infrastructure projects
- Conducting daily pre-start and safety inspections
- Ensuring safe loading, transport, and unloading of concrete in accordance with operational requirements
- Completing and maintaining delivery documentation, logbooks, and trip records
- Monitoring vehicle condition and reporting mechanical faults or maintenance requirements




- Complying with NHVR regulations, fatigue management, mass and load restraint requirements
- Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of vehicles in line with company standards
- Communicating effectively with dispatch teams, plant operators, and site personnel

Qualification & experience

- Valid HR Driver Licence (essential)
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant HR Truck driving experience
- Experience operating concrete agitator trucks (preferred but not essential – training provided)
- Sound knowledge of road safety, transport regulations, and compliance requirements in Australia
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment with flexible hours, including overtime and weekends
- Strong communication skills and a reliable, safety-focused approach to work
- White Card preferred
