HQ(HongQi) Australia Smart EV is seeking an experienced Automotive Parts Manager to join our team in Alexandria, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in managing our automotive parts operations and inventory management. As Automotive Parts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement, storage, and distribution of parts whilst ensuring optimal stock levels and cost efficiency. This role is integral to supporting our service operations and maintaining customer satisfaction through reliable parts availability.

What you'll be doing

- Managing and maintaining accurate inventory records of automotive parts and components
- Procuring parts from suppliers whilst negotiating competitive pricing and terms
- Coordinating with service departments to ensure timely availability of required parts
- Overseeing warehouse operations, including storage, organisation and retrieval of parts
- Implementing inventory control systems and conducting regular stock audits
- Identifying slow-moving stock and developing strategies to optimise inventory turnover
- Managing supplier relationships and liaising with external vendors
- Preparing reports on parts usage, costs and inventory metrics for senior management
- Training and supervising warehouse or parts team members as required
- Ensuring compliance with automotive industry standards and company policies

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in automotive parts management or a similar inventory management role within the automotive trades sector
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts, components and their applications
- Proficiency with inventory management systems and computer software




- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills for supplier and internal team liaison
- Experience in cost control and budget management
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in parts management, logistics or automotive trades (desirable)
- Experience with EV (electric vehicle) components or emerging automotive technology (preferred)
