An exciting prospect to lead a high-performing Research Insights & Analytics function within a complex and highly regarded organisation.

Reporting to the Chief Data & Analytics Officer, this role will drive the delivery of research insights, benchmarking, performance reporting, and analytics that support strategic planning, investment decisions, and research excellence.

This position is ideal for an experienced leader with a strong background in research analytics, rankings, and performance benchmarking, combined with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders. You will play a key role in translating data into meaningful insights and partnering with business leaders to drive informed decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the research analytics and insights function, delivering meaningful reporting and insights.
- Provide advice and recommendations to senior leaders using data and research insights.
- Manage research rankings, benchmarking, performance reporting, and external assessments.
- Build strong relationships with researchers, academics, and business stakeholders.
- Help drive data-informed decision-making across the organisation.




- Develop and improve reporting frameworks, KPIs, and dashboards.
- Ensure high standards of data quality and governance.
- Lead and develop a high-performing analytics and insights team.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Experience leading research analytics, rankings, benchmarking, or performance reporting functions.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence senior leaders.
- Experience using data and insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Proven leadership experience managing analytics, insights, or reporting teams.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn complex data into clear business recommendations.
- Experience presenting to and advising executive stakeholders.
- Knowledge of data governance, reporting, and performance measurement frameworks.

You must have direct experience in research analytics, research performance, benchmarking, or higher education research rankings, along with strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
