Reporting to the owners, the manager or management couple will play a pivotal role in maintaining the solid branding of the property and continuing to deliver exceptional quality and service. This position is responsible for overseeing and managing all operational aspects of the property, ensuring a seamless experience for guests and maximizing profitability.

Key responsibilities

Manage daily motel operations including guest service, reservations and quality room readiness, ensuring a high standard of service, cleanliness and maintenance are consistently upheld

Maintain a quality product and customer service with a hands-on approach to the property and daily operations

Implement and enforce policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and guest satisfaction

Recruit, support, and supervise staff and contractors across departments including the restaurant, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration

Monitor bookings, occupancy and online travel agent listings, utilising yield and revenue management strategies to maximise occupancy and revenue

Work with the property's budget in line with targets and financial goals





Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth

Act as a point of contact for guest feedback and resolve escalated issues promptly

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

Communicate regularly with owners or senior management about occupancy, issues and operational needs

About you

Minimum 5 years regional motel, hotel, accommodation or hospitality management experience

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

Excellent organizational and time management abilities

Solid understanding of financial management and budgeting principles

Knowledge and strong experience with Guestpoint plus other tools such as SiteMinder for yield/revenue management

Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving

Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering high quality service

Ability to handle multiple priorities within the day-to-day operations

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Commitment to developing and maintaining a high standard product and service
