About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, organised and motivated Accounts Assistant to join our team.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in accounting, with the progress of the role to develop to full-time position as your skills and experience grow.

Previous experience in accounts or bookkeeping would be an advantage, but it is not essential. We are interested in finding someone with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail and a genuine willingness to learn.

For the right candidate, there may also be an opportunity to undertake a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping and Accounting traineeship, combining practical, hands on experience with further study and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

- Processing supplier invoices and assisting with accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconciling bank statements and supplier and customer accounts.
- Assisting with payment processing and payment runs.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and updating accounting systems.
- Following up on outstanding invoices and account enquiries.
- Assisting with month-end reporting and general accounting duties.
- Communicating with suppliers, customers and internal team members.
- Providing general administrative support as required.

About You

We are looking for someone who:





- Is organised, reliable and has strong attention to detail.
- Has good numerical skills and enjoys working with figures.
- Is eager to learn and develop new skills.
- Has a positive attitude and takes initiative.
- Can communicate effectively and work well within a team.
- Has basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office or Google Suite.

Previous experience in accounts, bookkeeping or administration, along with familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, would be beneficial. Training and support will be provided to help the successful candidate develop in the role.
