What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Regional Finance Officer, the Finance Manager is responsible for leading core finance operations across Australia and New Zealand. The role owns revenue close and assurance, supports a high-volume transaction environment, leads collections and Finance Case Officer teams, and delivers accurate and timely outcomes for treasury, audit and other finance stakeholders.

The Finance Manager is a hands-on operational leader who partners with commercial, customer operations, treasury, financial control, technology and audit teams. The role is expected to strengthen revenue and receivables controls, improve cash conversion, resolve complex finance cases, and support the migration and optimisation of finance and billing systems.

You are responsible for the integrity and timely delivery of revenue and receivables processes, effective team leadership, strong financial controls,

operational support for treasury and audit requirements, and successful finance systems change. This includes ownership of NetSuite-based processes and close collaboration with billing-system owners.

Key accountabilities include revenue operations, collections leadership, finance service delivery, treasury and audit support, and systems transformation, specifically:

Revenue Close and Assurance: Own the monthly, quarterly and year-end revenue close, including completeness and cut-off reviews, reconciliations, revenue journals, deferred revenue movements, variance analysis and resolution of exceptions.

High-Volume Transaction Operations: Maintain accurate, controlled and scalable processes across large volumes of invoices, receipts, credits, adjustments and customer account activity.

Collections Leadership: Lead collections strategy and execution, including ageing reviews, prioritisation, escalation, dispute management, cash recovery and reporting against collection targets.

Team Management: Manage, coach and develop Collections and Finance Case Officer teams, setting clear service levels, ownership, quality standards and performance measures.

Finance Case Management: Oversee timely investigation and resolution of billing, payment, account and revenue cases, with effective root-cause analysis and stakeholder communication.

Treasury Delivery:

Provide reliable cash collection forecasts, bank and cash information, working-capital insights and other inputs required by treasury.

Audit Delivery: Coordinate high-quality, timely audit evidence for revenue, receivables, cash and related controls, and drive remediation of findings.

Continuous Improvement: Use data and operational insights to improve accuracy, cycle times, customer outcomes, cash conversion and control effectiveness.

Systems, Billing and Financial Control:

NetSuite Ownership: Act as the operational finance lead for NetSuite, ensuring disciplined use of the platform, robust reconciliations, accurate master data and effective reporting.

Billing Systems: Apply robust working knowledge of subscription and transactional billing platforms, including billing configuration, invoice generation, credit processing, integrations and exception management.

Systems Migration: Lead or support finance systems migrations from requirements and data mapping through testing, reconciliation, cutover, hypercare and control stabilisation.

Process Integration: Partner with technology, sales operations and customer teams to maintain reliable order-to-cash data flows between CRM, billing, payments and the general ledger.

Controls and Compliance: Maintain effective controls over revenue, receivables, cash application, credits and system access, with compliance to applicable accounting policies and standards.

Reporting and Insights: Deliver concise operational reporting on revenue close, aged debt, cash collections, case volumes, service levels, risks and remediation actions.
