The Opportunity

An outstanding opportunity is available for an experienced Operations Manager to take ownership of operational performance across a diverse group of businesses operating within the heavy vehicle, commercial transport, automotive parts and machinery sectors.

Based in Perth, this senior leadership position will sit above multiple business units, providing strategic direction, operational oversight and commercial leadership across metropolitan and regional operations, including businesses servicing the Pilbara.

This is a pivotal role for a commercially astute leader who understands the heavy vehicle and industrial sectors and can bring multiple operations together under a consistent, performance-driven approach. You will work closely with senior leadership and individual business managers to improve profitability, streamline processes, strengthen operational systems and identify opportunities for sustainable growth.

With responsibilities spanning commercial vehicle dealerships, truck and machinery parts supply, heavy vehicle infrastructure and regional operations, this position offers genuine variety, autonomy and the opportunity to influence the broader direction of the group.

The role is Perth-based and will require monthly travel to the Pilbara operations to engage with regional teams, review business performance, support local management and ensure operational standards are consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities

- Group Operations Management: Provide operational leadership and oversight across multiple business units,



ensuring alignment with group objectives, consistent processes and strong commercial outcomes.
- Strategic Planning: Work with senior leadership to develop and implement operational strategies that support business growth, improve performance and strengthen the group's market position.
- Commercial Management: Take responsibility for monitoring financial performance, budgets, revenue, margins and operating costs, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and control expenditure.
- People Leadership: Support and develop business managers and operational teams, building a culture of accountability, collaboration, high performance and continuous improvement.
- Performance and KPI Management: Establish clear performance measures across the group, regularly reviewing results and implementing strategies to address underperformance and improve productivity.
- Business Improvement: Review existing systems, processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies, introduce best practices and improve consistency across all business units.
- Dealership and Service Operations: Support the performance of commercial vehicle dealership, service, workshop and aftersales functions, ensuring strong customer service and operational efficiency.
- Parts and Supply Chain: Oversee performance across truck and machinery parts supply,



inventory management, procurement and supplier relationships, ensuring stock availability and effective cost management.
- Regional Operations: Undertake monthly trips to the Pilbara to engage with regional teams, assess operational performance, support local management and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Customer and Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain robust relationships with key customers, suppliers, manufacturers and industry stakeholders.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure business operations meet relevant workplace health and safety requirements, industry regulations and internal policies.
- Growth and Development: Identify opportunities to expand services, improve market penetration, strengthen existing business units and support future growth across the group.
- Executive Reporting: Provide senior leadership with clear reporting on financial results, operational performance, business risks and strategic initiatives.

About You

You are an accomplished Operations Manager, General Manager or senior operational leader who has successfully managed complex operations across multiple sites, business units or related businesses.

You combine strategic thinking with a hands‑on approach and understand how to balance people leadership, commercial performance and operational delivery. You are confident working with business managers, challenging existing processes and implementing improvements that deliver measurable results.
